$ Are you getting value for your cash spent. Depends, doesn't it? Is there value in gambling - perhaps, if you call it entertainment? The value thing is defined by you and it does not always use cash. If you value what you want whether a high-flying career, a religious calling, or a gorgeous timepiece, then these things have value to you.

How does one set a fair price on what one wants to buy and what someone else wants to sell. Trouble is no one individual assigns exactly the same value of one thing in terms of another thing. Value (like beauty) is in the eye of the beholder, paraphrase from Plato.
